DESCRIPTION:This tour offers a special trip to the USS Utah and Oklahoma Me
	morials on Ford Island with park rangers. Participants will board a motor 
	coach from the Pearl Harbor Visitor Center to travel to Ford Island for a 
	90-minute round-trip tour to some of the most fascinating “hidden gems” of
	 Pearl Harbor National Memorial.\n\nPearl Harbor National Memorial interpr
	ets and preserves sites and remnants connecting to the December 7\, 1941\,
	 Japanese military attack on Oʻahu\, which killed more than 2\,300 militar
	y and civilian personnel\, and compelled the United States' entry into Wor
	ld War II. Beyond the striking white walls of the USS Arizona Memorial\, t
	he Site and its staff preserve the quiet USS Oklahoma and USS Utah Memoria
	ls\, which share the story those battleships suffered\, and six historic o
	fficer bungalows which remind visitors of neighborhood life before and dur

DESCRIPTION:HONOLULU – Pearl Harbor National Memorial in coordination with 
	Pearl Harbor Historic Parks and the United States Navy\, will host a serie
	s of special events in observance of Memorial Day weekend. The events will
	 offer visitors opportunities to honor the men and women who gave their li
	ves in military service to the United States.\n\n•On Saturday\, May 23\, a
	t 12:15 pm HST\, members of the Pearl Harbor National Memorial Dive Team w
	ill present on the salvage operations that followed the December 7\, 1941\
	, attack on Pearl Harbor and discuss modern preservation work on the USS A
	rizona and USS Utah.\n\n•On May 23 and 24\, at 3:45 pm HST\, active and ve
	teran United States military service members are invited to attend after-h
	our boat tours to the Arizona Memorial in honor of their service. Particip
	ation is first-come\, first-serve and is limited to 145 passengers per boa
	t.\n\n•On Sunday\, May 24\, at 10:30 am HST the Memorial will partner with
	 Pacific Historic Parks staff to host a program to highlight the site’s Sa
	dako Crane exhibit and hold a flame extinguishing ceremony in honor of pea
	ce and our sister park relationship with Hiroshima Peace Park.\n\n•At 6:30
	 pm HST on May 24\, a screening of Under the Blood Red Sun will take place
	 on the lawn overlooking the USS Arizona Memorial. The film shares the his
	tory of WWII and offers an opportunity for reflection and remembrance. Ref
	reshments will be available for purchase.\n\n•On Memorial Day May 25\, vis
	itors can watch a live dive of the USS Arizona battleship at 10 am HST. Th
	e Pearl Harbor dive team will be joined by Navy divers\, members of the Na
	tional Park Service Submerged Resource Center\, and participants from the 
	Wounded Warrior Project.\n\n•Floral tributes and commemorative name cards 
	honoring memorialized veterans will be available throughout the weekend.\n
	\n•A brief commemorative ceremony will be held at 12:30 pm HST on Memorial
	 Day\, May 25\, and will include the ringing of the USS Arizona bell follo
	wed by a moment of silence and the playing of taps by the Navy’s Pacific F
	leet Band.\n\nFree parking will be available at Pearl Harbor National Memo
	rial throughout the Memorial Day weekend and holiday.\n\nThroughout the we
	ekend\, free guided tours of the USS Utah and USS Oklahoma Memorials will 
	be offered each day from 10 am to 2 pm HST and departing hourly. Visitors 
	can use the regularly scheduled shuttle service to the USS Missouri\, then
	 walk to the USS Oklahoma Memorial to join NPS staff for the approximately
